Back again!

I feel remiss in regards to my poor neglected blog! I am going through one of my "reading" frenzies. It's a periodic thing- there are times when I devour books in hours and times when I am not interested in reading at all. I have to admit though the former phase happens a lot more. What can I say? I am a bookworm! I am reading my worn out copy of "Twilight" for the umpteenth time! It's my favorite book of the saga. "New Moon" comes in as second favorite but it is so hard for me read it without fully immersing myself in Bella's depression. It's a spectacular book for that very reason. I've re-read the reunion scene and beyond many times because just thinking about their separation chokes me up. Stephenie Meyer really knows how to write.
I am looking forward to the movie and I hope, hope fervently that they do not stray from the book. It is such am emotional literary piece.
I've been reading other books of course. It's been mainly Young Adult fiction but there 's been a sprinkling of inspirational romance here and there. What a combination, right? I've read "The Hollow" by Jessica Verday (Reminds me Twilight a little) but it almost ended with a cliffhanger and I have to wait till next year for the sequel! I loved, loved "My soul to take" by Rachel Vincent. It was a refreshing new take on mystical creatures and had a lot of terrifying tones in it. And romance of course! I've just finished reading "The Inheritance" by Tamera Alexander and like all the other books I've read by her, it did not disappoint.
I am dabbling in writing as well. Have been since I started avidly reading in my teenage years. My problem is that I want to write the exciting scenes and just sketch the in between events that are not so exciting but still carry the plot. So I end up frustrated and not finish what I start. And I know if I put my mind to it, I can do it.
